It has been the most fun this month getting to show off four of my "Ladies" all at the same time. As well as a new abstract painting just to add a "twist".

I also have a few of my Award Winning Bronze Sculptures on exhibit until the 28th.

The Waiting is over...
Introducing First Morning

First Morning is the second half of my dyptic with Waiting.
If you hold them up side by side, the curtains and flooring line up.

My goal was to have Waiting be the pregnant woman waiting for the baby to come, or someone to come get her to take her to the hospital. Because in my mind that is more towards evening, Waiting is a little darker and mistier.

Now, in First Morning, the baby is born and the mother is introducing it to the light for the very first time. I tried to achieve almost an opalescent look to her gown in this one, and a glow to the baby's face as the light from the window hits it.

 First Morning is a brief second in a life. A gentle, kind loving moment we get to peek at

Flamboyant Flower for Empty Bowls

Flamboyant Flower has been donated to the Larimer County Foodbank for their Empty Bowls Fundraiser. This amazing event offers the ticket purchasers, soups donated by local restaurants, a one of a kind bowl made by local artists and students, a chance to bid on silent auction items, and music provided throughout the event.
According to the foodbank, the price of one ticket can feed 100 families.
