If you hold them up side by side, the curtains and flooring line up.
My goal was to have Waiting be the pregnant woman waiting for the baby to come, or someone to come get her to take her to the hospital. Because in my mind that is more towards evening, Waiting is a little darker and mistier.
Now, in First Morning, the baby is born and the mother is introducing it to the light for the very first time. I tried to achieve almost an opalescent look to her gown in this one, and a glow to the baby's face as the light from the window hits it.
First Morning is a brief second in a life. A gentle, kind loving moment we get to peek at
