Dawn

Dawn no. D308
12" x 6"
Acrylic on
Rice Paper over Canvas Panel
Dawn is the first of the women, that I had something of an idea of what I wanted to do before I started.

The idea of a mother holding a baby up to the morning light, just seemed the logical sequence after Blessing. And with this third piece completed, I would now call this a series.

This work was fun, in that it was both harder and easier to create. I had the idea before I started this time, but forfeited the ability to just let the paper lines lead me.

I am really thrilled with how Dawn developed, and hope to do a larger piece from this study.

Oh, Cyd, these are lovely!!! I'm glad you were inspired to find these images in your painting and complete them.

I am slowly catching up on blogs that I haven't visited in a while. I was having trouble uploading on my blog and was spending lots of time fighting with it. Finally I just started a new one, but it took a lot of time to go back and relist everyone (like you) under my "links." Now things can get back to normal. Please come visit me at my new blog: http://watercolorsbyjoan2.blogspot.com

Thank you so much Joan. I truly appreciate your inspiring words.

I will definitely come check out your new blog. I need to learn from you how to make the list of links like you put up. ♥
