Back On Track

Okay confession time. So I will admit to you, I got a little off track this past year. Three broken ribs, and the ensuing issues that went with them, left me unable to paint for most of 2009.

Instead, I spent the majority of the year establishing a presence, and playing games on Facebook a rather, um, addicting occupation of time.

The beginning of 2010 continued in the same pattern. My health not improving, my addiction to Facebook worsening, and my art completely off track. I did manage to muster the energy to enter one of three shows I had slated for the beginning of 2010. But only one of them.

I can not tell you how thrilled I was to receive notification that my work "Reflections" was juried into that single show!

Feeling somewhat invigorated, I dragged out the list of goals I had set for 2009. Even with my health setbacks, the only goal I hadn't accomplished, was that of getting into a National Juried Art Show. Well, that wasn't so bad at all. In fact, it left me feeling pretty good. Especially with my news from earlier this month!

It's good to be back on track!

Hello, Hello!

Well, I said it once before, but today really is the day. I have so much news to share with you, I don't even know where to start. So first I'll say Hello! Hello! And then thank you for still following me. I've had a rough battle with Lupus recently, but am hopefully turning that corner. In fact, even if I wasn't ready to turn the corner, the amazing things happening in the artistic part of my life are kind of forcing it. *grin* So today really is the day I get back to work, updating my website and blog; dealing with the dreaded taxes, yuk; and finally getting back to the studio with all the ideas that have been building in my brain.

I am so excited to be back blogging!  Today is really just to let you know I am still here, and to help me remember how to work this program. hehe. In fact, I am still drinking my morning coffee and trying to get a handle on this again. hehe.

So...Welcome back to my home! Sit down, grab a cup of coffee, and let's talk art. :)
