Fall Garden received the First Place ribbon in the Acrylic Divison of the TVAL Fall Festival Art Show, making my Second First Place ribbon in one week. Not only that, but my painting Quilt Barn took Third Place in the Acrylic Division! It's a Double Double. My first two Firsts in painting, both within one week at two different shows, and two ribbons for painting at the same show! Once again the use of Creative Composition in my works was remarked upon by Judge Vicky Russell when commenting on Fall Garden. This seems to be becoming almost a catch phrase for my pieces.
Regarding Quilt Barn she cited it was a "Good use of media to achieve a variety of textures with the softness of the grass and the roughness of the barn." As Quilt Barn is one of my favorites, I particularly appreciated she noticed this.
