Reflections was awarded Third Place by Juror Don Vogl at the 2009 AANC Celebration of Color Members Show. This was doubly exciting to me as it was the first show I have participated in that was held at my newest gallery. I am very proud of this painting. I didn't use an iota of black in the background, nor did I use any orange. The absence of a commercial black was of course on purpose, as I prefer to mix my darks. The absence of the orange...well, I'll fess up. I hadn't replenished my stock, and I wanted to PAINT! LOL.
