I am so glad I decided to embark on this endeavor to try and teach myself to paint from books this year. It has given me something new and different to do. I am having so much fun, and it has helped to relieve a ton of stress during all my recent health issues.

While this is not really my kind of scene...the effects of the finished water made trying this one totally worth it just to learn the technique. Very Cool! It was achieved by putting a blue glaze over the finished golden painting to get a green water "reflection". Well worth the effort to learn how to do this. :)

I really had fun with this painting, and all it's colors. I learned about working wet on wet and using blending agents. Even though I am still having some difficulty seeing, I was so addicted I couldn't stop. :) Can't wait to start the next one and "see" where it takes me.

A Fourth of the Way.....

I am one fourth of the way through my year long journey. It has been a rough few months. I had Walking Pneumonia, and then some eye problems that made it almost impossible to see, let alone paint. Thank goodness that is all clearing up, and I am hopefully on the road to continuing along my path.
