Flamboyant Flowers
4" x 6" Acrylic & Rice Paper on Canvas Panel
Available
I really enjoyed creating this piece. I applied Rice Paper to a Canvas Board trying to get it to go where I thought there might be veining. Of course the Rice Paper has a mind of it's own. Hehe.
Then I painted acrylics both as transclucent and opaques, to generate the richness of the reds on the two Petals. These flowers bloom on the Flamboyant Tree, whose photos were given to us for reference from those in Puerto Rico.
(This was the July Different Strokes Challenge, and as I am posting in arrears, I'll post it for today as they have now been unveiled, and this is the day I actually finished it.)
